Communication
- Communication is the key to success.
- We are always excited to hear from you and answer any questions or concerns.
- We encourage clients to provide as many details as possible during the booking process to ensure we can meet all expectations.
- During the lead-up to your event or session, we are available for any questions or updates.
Booking Process
- Fill the contact form to confirm availability. We will send a contract with all details, including pricing, session type, location, and deliverables. The date is reserved only after receiving the signed contract and deposit.
Payment Policy
- 50% non-refundable retainer at the time of booking, 100% of remainder one week prior to your event date.
- Payments may be made by credit card or e-transfer or cash.
- We accept Visa (credit and debit cards), MasterCard (credit and debit cards), American Express, Digital Wallets - Apple Pay, Google Pay, Microsoft Pay (on supported devices).
Destination Weddings & Events
- For destination weddings, family shoots, or events - travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be billed in addition to the photography fee. A detailed estimate will be provided in advance and will be included in the full package.
- Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control - such as accommodation overbookings requiring upgrades, unexpected flight changes or cancellations, delays or restriction at borders, rebooking fees, or government-mandates quarantines or health regulations may lead to additional costs.
- These costs, if incurred, will be clearly communicated to you and are to be reimbursed in full within 07 business days of notification.
Elopements
- We absolutely love to cover Elopements! While big weddings are also fun, Much deeper connections are developed during Elopements & more of your story is captured, albeit in smaller settings.
Client Cancellations
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- For weddings and large events, cancellations made less than 3 weeks prior to the scheduled date will require a cancellation fee of 10% of the total cost.
Photographer Cancellations
- In the rare event that we are unable to fulfill your booking due to illness, emergency, or other uncontrollable or extreme circumstances, we will offer a full refund.
Rescheduling
- Reschedule is allowed one month prior to the event date, subject to availability, only in the current year.
Late Arrival
- If you or your guests are late for your scheduled session or event, we will make every effort to accommodate the changes, but we cannot guarantee additional time will be available.
- Late arrivals may result in a reduction of the session time.
Shooting Time / Addition
- Shoot may be extended with mutual consent. The possibility of an extended shoot should be discussed beforehand.
- The hourly package rate of $150/Hr for weddings and event, and $100/Hr for all other sessions will apply.
Image Quality
- We strive to provide high-quality images.
- However, certain uncontrollable or extreme factors such as weather, lighting, or guest behaviour may affect the final outcome.
Image Delivery
- Your edited images may be delivered in agreed upon timeline via an online gallery, USB drive, or other agreed-upon format.
- You will have access to download and share your high-resolution photos.
Image Format
- We take pride in delivering beautifully edited, high-quality images that reflect our artistic style and vision. As part of our professional photography services, we do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files to clients as they do not represent the final quality of work.
Image Manipulation
- We do not fix significant hair or makeup issues, but may smooth skin tones or adjust lighting for enhancement.
Privacy
- We take your privacy seriously and will not share your personal information without your consent, except where required by law.
Copyright & Usage
- Shalin Shah Studio retains full copyright of all images and are protected by copyright laws (all rights reserved).You are granted a personal-use license for printing, sharing, and displaying your photos.
- Commercial use (e.g., selling or promoting images) is prohibited without prior written consent.
Model Release
- Shalin Shah Studio retains the right to use client photos for editorial, promotional purposes, including website, social media, advertising, photography contest, public displays.
- If you prefer to keep your photos private, you can opt out by informing us in advance.
Travel Fees
- For events or sessions located outside of 30 kms from business location, additional travel fees will apply.
- These fees may include mileage, tolls, and travel time.
Limit of Liability
- We take the utmost care with respect to exposure, transportation and processing of photographs; including using professional grade equipment and professional grade backup equipment.
- However, in the unlikely event of client photographs being lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons within or beyond our control, the latter’s liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the event package.
- The limit of liability shall not exceed the contract price stated herein. The limit of liability for a partial loss of originals shall be a prorated amount of the exposures lost based on the percentage of total number of originals.
